Description

The BLACK+DECKER JC450 electric kettle is a practical choice for every Iraqi home that needs boiling water fast for tea, coffee, hot drinks and cooking. It combines 2000W of power and a 1.7L capacity with complete safety features, making it a reliable daily companion in the kitchen or the office.

Design

The BLACK+DECKER JC450 kettle features a durable brushed stainless steel body in silver with an elegant design, an on/off switch with indicator light, a precisely shaped spout for controlled pouring and an easy-clean interior. The 360° cordless swivel base lets you place and lift the kettle from any angle, left- or right-handed, without the cable getting in the way while you pour.

Performance and capacity

With 2000W of power, the kettle brings water to the boil quickly, saving you time in the morning or when guests arrive. The 1.7L capacity is enough for several cups at once, ideal for Iraqi families who drink tea several times a day.

Functions and safety

  • Automatic shut-off: the kettle switches itself off as soon as the water boils.
  • Boil-dry protection: it stops working if switched on without water, protecting the heating element and extending the life of the appliance.
  • Concealed heating element: the flat inner base is easy to wipe, with no exposed coil for dirt and scale to collect around.

The technology, simply explained - and why it matters in Iraq

Its easy-clean interior also makes it simpler to remove the limescale left by the hard tap water common in many Iraqi cities. At 2000W the kettle draws roughly 9 amps while heating, so on a neighbourhood generator a subscription of 11 amps or more is recommended, or simply avoid running other heavy appliances at the same time. Because it boils quickly and then switches off automatically, the actual energy used each time stays low.

Who is it for?

The BLACK+DECKER JC450 kettle suits families, students and employees in shared housing, offices and shops, and anyone who wants a dependable kettle from a globally known home-appliance brand.

Product FAQ

How much power does the BLACK+DECKER JC450 use and can it run on a generator?

The kettle is rated at 2000W, so it draws about 9 amps only while heating. It works on a generator with a subscription of 11 amps or more; avoid running other heavy appliances at the same time.

Is a 1.7L capacity enough for a whole family?

Yes. 1.7 litres makes roughly 6 to 7 large mugs in one go, which suits a family of 4 to 6 people or serving guests.

How do I descale and clean the kettle?

Boil water with a little white vinegar or citric acid, leave it for half an hour, then rinse thoroughly with clean water. The concealed element makes wiping easier; never immerse the kettle or its base in water.

What safety features does the BLACK+DECKER JC450 have?

It switches off automatically when the water boils and stops if switched on empty thanks to boil-dry protection. The cordless base also means no trailing cable while you pour.

Is there a warranty in Iraq?

Yes. You get a 1-year warranty when you buy from Al Bab Al Aaly, together with cash on delivery and delivery to all Iraqi governorates.
