Description
The Cudy WR1200 router is an AC1200 dual-band Wi-Fi 5 router built for homes and apartments that want smooth video streaming and reliable browsing on internet plans of up to 100 Mbps. It delivers up to 867 Mbps on 5 GHz plus 300 Mbps on 2.4 GHz, uses four high-gain antennas and is managed easily through the Cudy app, all at an affordable Cudy WR1200 price in Iraq.
Design
The WR1200 has a slim horizontal body measuring 214×128.8×28.7 mm and weighing about 245 g, with 4 fixed high-gain antennas at the back. It can sit on a desk or be wall-mounted. Front LEDs show power, internet, Wi-Fi and the link/activity of every Ethernet port, and there are WPS and Reset buttons.
Wi-Fi performance and coverage
- AC1200 class: up to 867 Mbps on 5 GHz + up to 300 Mbps on 2.4 GHz.
- 4 streams (2×2 on each band) with Beamforming to aim the signal at your devices.
- Reference coverage of up to 100 m², with a maximum open-space range of 170 m.
- Comfortably handles up to 40 connected devices (maximum capacity 128).
- Passes two wooden walls or one concrete wall thinner than 20 cm.
Ports and connectivity
There are 5 × 10/100 Mbps Ethernet ports: 1 WAN port for your internet line and 4 LAN ports for a PC, smart TV or console. WAN modes include DHCP, Static IP, PPPoE, PPTP and L2TP, with IPv6 and IPTV/VLAN support. Five operation modes are available: Router, Access Point, Range Extender, WISP and Client.
The technology, simply explained
- Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac): fast 5 GHz standard suited to HD streaming.
- MU-MIMO: serves several devices at the same time on 5 GHz instead of one after another.
- Beamforming: focuses the signal towards your phone or laptop for a steadier link.
- WPA3: the latest Wi-Fi encryption standard to protect your password.
- Guest network and parental controls: a separate network for visitors, plus schedules and web filtering for kids' devices.
- Cudy app and cloud control: set up and manage the router from your phone, even when away from home.
Who is it for?
The WR1200 suits internet plans of up to 100 Mbps (FTTH fibre or standard lines), small and medium homes and apartments, and anyone who wants a better alternative to the ISP router with a 5 GHz band and full app control. Product FAQ
How much area does the WR1200 cover?
Its reference coverage is up to 100 m², which suits apartments and small to medium homes. Place it in the centre of the home for the best signal, as thick concrete walls reduce range.
Is it suitable for FTTH fibre internet in Iraq?
Yes, for plans of up to 100 Mbps, because the router's ports are 10/100 Mbps. If your plan is faster than 100 Mbps, a router with Gigabit ports is the better choice.
How do I set up the router?
Connect your internet cable to the WAN port, then open the Cudy app or the web setup page and follow the steps. The router supports PPPoE, DHCP and Static IP used by Iraqi ISPs.
Can it work as a range extender?
Yes. Besides Router mode, the WR1200 supports Access Point, Range Extender, WISP and Client modes. You can switch modes easily from the web page or the app.
What is the warranty in Iraq?
The router comes with a full 1-year warranty from Al-Bab Al-Aali, with cash on delivery and shipping to all Iraqi governorates. Our team can help you with setup if needed.
