Description

The GIGABYTE AORUS Gen4 7000s Prem. 1TB is an NVMe SSD with a PCIe 4.0 x4 interface in the M.2 2280 form factor, delivering sequential reads of up to 7,000 MB/s and writes of up to 5,500 MB/s, with a Thermal Guard XTREME heatsink featuring two heat pipes to sustain performance under load.

Design and cooling

The drive comes with the M.2 Thermal Guard XTREME heatsink with nanocarbon coating, built from two heat pipes and stacked fins, with dual-side high-conductivity thermal pads and an aluminium baseplate. GIGABYTE cites a 50% thermal improvement, allowing sustained read speeds without throttling. With the heatsink, the drive measures 92 × 23.5 × 44.7 mm.

Performance and key specifications

  • 1TB capacity with 3D TLC NAND.
  • 2nd-generation PCIe 4.0 controller Phison PS5018-E18 with 8 channels.
  • 1GB DDR4 DRAM cache.
  • Sequential read up to 7,000 MB/s and write up to 5,500 MB/s.
  • Random read up to 350K IOPS and random write up to 700K IOPS.
  • 700TBW endurance and 1.6 million hours MTBF.

Compatibility

It works in motherboards with an M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 slot. It also works in PCIe 3.0 slots at lower speed. The heatsink is 44.7 mm tall, so check the clearance above the M.2 slot before installing, and review GIGABYTE's heatsink incompatibility list.

Technologies in plain words

The dedicated DRAM keeps speeds steady when moving large files, and the heat pipes pull heat away from the controller so speed does not drop during long sessions. AORUS SSD Toolbox lets you monitor drive health and update firmware.

Who is it for?

It suits gamers and creators who want the fastest game and app loading and quick transfers of large video files. The AORUS Gen4 7000s 1TB price in Iraq is a fair value for a drive with this level of performance and cooling.

Product FAQ

Is it compatible with my motherboard?

It needs an M.2 2280 slot with NVMe support. For the full 7,000 MB/s the slot must be PCIe 4.0; in PCIe 3.0 slots it runs at lower speed.

Can I use it with my motherboard's M.2 heatsink?

It ships with its own Thermal Guard XTREME heatsink, 44.7 mm tall, so it usually replaces the motherboard's M.2 cover. Check the clearance above the slot and around the graphics card.

How long will the drive last?

It is rated for 700TBW of writes and 1.6 million hours MTBF, which is enough for many years of gaming and everyday work.

What is in the box?

The box includes: SSD with Thermal Guard XTREME heatsink, User manual. We recommend keeping the original box for the warranty period.

Is there a warranty in Iraq?

Yes, it comes from Al-Bab Al-Aali with a full 2-year warranty in Iraq, with cash on delivery and delivery to every governorate.
