It is a high-performance NVMe drive that pushes PCIe 4.0 to the limit with reads of up to 7,300MB/s and writes of up to 6,000MB/s on the 1TB and 6,850MB/s on the 2TB. The AORUS Gen4 7300 combines a Phison E18 controller, a DRAM cache and an aluminium heatsink to deliver steady performance in demanding games, video editing and professional workloads.

Design

The drive comes with an aluminium heatsink coated in nanocarbon that helps lower temperatures by about 20%, in a low-profile design that fits most M.2 slots. With the heatsink it measures 80.5 x 23.5 x 11.25 mm, and the heatsink can be removed to use the bare 2.3 mm drive under a motherboard's own M.2 cover.
