Description

The GIGABYTE C301 Glass V2 is a Mid-Tower case that supports ATX and even E-ATX motherboards, built around airflow with a large mesh front and vented top. It includes four ARGB fans, a front USB Type-C port and a vertical GPU holder kit, and it is available in black and white.

Design and build

The large mesh front and vented top feed the fans with plenty of air, while the 4mm tempered glass side panel uses a non-drilled design. A PSU shroud with a window hides cables, the top dust filter is magnetic and the bottom one slides out. It measures 486 x 220 x 473 mm, weighs 7.8 kg net and is made of steel, plastic and glass.

Key specs and cooling

  • Motherboards: Mini-ITX / Micro-ATX / ATX / E-ATX
  • Pre-installed fans: 3 x 120mm front, 1 x 120mm rear (ARGB/PWM)
  • Built-in hub with six 5V 3-pin ARGB headers
  • Radiators: front up to 360mm, top up to 360mm, rear 120mm
  • Expansion slots: 7
  • Drive bays: 2 x 3.5"/2.5" and 2 x 2.5"

Compatibility and I/O

  • Max GPU length 400mm, vertical mount with 100mm clearance
  • Max CPU cooler height 170mm, PSU up to 180mm (standard ATX, not included)
  • Front I/O: USB 3.1 Gen2 Type-C x1, USB 3.0 x2, HD audio, LED switch
  • Dust filters on top and bottom

The technology in plain words

PWM means fan speed changes automatically with temperature, staying quiet under light loads and spinning up while gaming. USB 3.1 Gen2 Type-C is a modern 10Gbps port for phones and fast external drives right at the front (it needs an internal Type-C header on the motherboard). RGB Fusion syncs lighting with GIGABYTE boards using Wave, Cycle, Pulse, Flash and Static modes.

Who is it for?

A strong pick for most ATX gaming and work builds, and for anyone who wants excellent airflow, four ready lit fans and a Type-C port without paying flagship prices.
