Description

G.SKILL Ripjaws M5 RGB DDR5 64GB (2x32GB) 5200MT/s CL40 Black

The G.SKILL Ripjaws M5 RGB DDR5 64GB (2x32GB) 5200MT/s CL40 in matte black (part number F5-5200J4040A32GX2-RM5RK) is a dual-channel desktop memory kit and a balanced price-to-performance choice for anyone building a modern gaming PC or workstation. The kit includes two 32GB modules for 64GB in total and runs at 5200MT/s with 40-40-40-83 timings at 1.10V once the Intel XMP 3.0 and AMD EXPO profile is enabled.

Design

The G.SKILL Ripjaws M5 RGB has a clean, understated design. Each module wears an aluminium heatspreader in matte black that helps spread heat away from the memory chips during long gaming sessions and heavy workloads, topped by a full-length RGB light bar that gives any case a modern look. Colours and effects can be customised and synchronised with popular motherboard lighting software such as ASUS Aura Sync, GIGABYTE RGB Fusion, MSI Mystic Light and ASRock Polychrome Sync, and the lighting can be switched off completely if you prefer a quiet-looking build.

Performance

At 5200MT/s, this G.SKILL Ripjaws M5 RGB kit delivers high bandwidth that improves smoothness in CPU-bound games and speeds up video editing, 3D work, programming and virtual machines. 64GB gives you plenty of headroom to run a modern game alongside live streaming, a browser and chat apps at the same time without slowdowns, and it is comfortable for 4K editing projects and very large files.

Compatibility

This is a DDR5 DIMM kit and requires a desktop motherboard with DDR5 support, such as Intel LGA1700 or LGA1851 boards and AMD AM5 boards. The kit supports both Intel XMP 3.0 and AMD EXPO profiles, so the rated speed can be enabled easily on supported DDR5 Intel and AMD motherboards. To enable dual-channel mode, install both modules in the slots recommended by your motherboard manual (usually A2 and B2). It is not intended for laptops.

The technology in plain words

  • DDR5: the latest generation of desktop memory, faster and more efficient than DDR4; it must match what your motherboard supports.
  • CL40: the latency; at the same speed, a lower number means the memory responds faster.
  • XMP 3.0 and EXPO: ready-made profiles stored on the RAM that you enable in the BIOS with one click; XMP is for Intel boards and EXPO for AMD boards, so the memory runs at its rated speed instead of the lower default.
  • Dual channel: using two modules together doubles bandwidth compared with a single module, which is why RAM is sold as a two-piece kit.

Who is it for?

The G.SKILL Ripjaws M5 RGB 64GB DDR5 kit suits gamers who want a powerful PC for years to come, content creators, video editors, designers and developers, and anyone upgrading from 32GB to 64GB with dependable G.SKILL memory that matches a black themed build.

Product FAQ

Is the G.SKILL Ripjaws M5 RGB 64GB DDR5 kit compatible with my motherboard?

It works with desktop motherboards that support DDR5 DIMM memory, such as Intel LGA1700 or LGA1851 boards and AMD AM5 boards. It will not work in DDR4 boards or laptops, so check the memory type in your motherboard specifications.

How do I enable XMP or EXPO to reach 5200MT/s?

Enter the BIOS and enable the Intel XMP 3.0 and AMD EXPO profile stored on the modules. Without it the memory runs at the lower default speed, and enabling the profile needs no overclocking experience.

Do I need 64GB for gaming?

32GB is enough for most games today, but 64GB gives you more headroom when gaming while streaming or running many apps at once, and it is ideal for video editing, design and professional work. It also keeps your PC ready for future games and software.

Can I mix this kit with other RAM or install four modules?

It is best to use the kit as supplied, with two modules in the recommended slots for dual-channel mode and the best stability. Mixing different kits or populating four DDR5 slots may force the memory to run at a lower speed, so buying a single kit of the capacity you need is recommended.

What warranty does this RAM have in Iraq?

You get a one-year warranty from Al Bab Al Aali, with cash on delivery and delivery to all Iraqi governorates. If you face any installation issue, our support team will help you.
