Description

The LG WY1408WTP 8kg front load washing machine is a practical, reliable choice for everyday family laundry in Iraq. It uses an Inverter Direct Drive motor, 6 Motion DD technology and a Steam function with a fast spin of up to 1400 rpm, and it comes in two colours: Essence White and Middle Black.

Design

A sleek, flat front design that suits any kitchen, bathroom or laundry room, with a round glass door and a clear control panel with a dial and digital display. Classic white or modern black fits the style of your home.

Performance and technology

  • 6 Motion DD: six different wash motions that mimic hand washing, cleaning clothes thoroughly and gently at the same time.
  • Steam™: helps remove stubborn dirt and eliminate bacteria – ideal for children's clothes and towels.
  • 1400 rpm spin: clothes come out drier and dry faster, handy in winter or when drying indoors.
  • Smart Diagnosis and SmartThinQ: monitor the washer from your phone over Wi-Fi and identify issues quickly, saving time and effort and extending the machine's life.

Capacity and efficiency

8kg suits families of 3 to 5 people and handles a typical daily load. The inverter motor only runs at the speed needed, so it uses less electricity.

What is Inverter Direct Drive and why does it matter in Iraq?

The motor is attached directly to the drum with no belt or pulleys, so vibration and noise are very low and there are fewer parts that can fail. LG backs this motor with a 10-year (repair) warranty through its dealer. With Iraq's heat and reliance on generators, an efficient motor means less strain on your power supply.

Product FAQ

Is 8kg enough for my family?

8kg suits families of 3 to 5 washing daily or every other day. If your family is larger or you often wash blankets, you may prefer 9kg or more.

What is the Steam function for?

Steam helps loosen stubborn dirt and eliminate bacteria in clothes. It is especially useful for children's clothes, towels and underwear.

Is it quiet, and can it run on a generator?

Yes. The Inverter Direct Drive motor is attached directly to the drum, greatly reducing vibration and noise, and it uses less power than a conventional motor. It can run on a generator if the supply is stable and sufficient.

Does the washer need special installation?

It only needs an earthed power socket, a water tap and a nearby drain, on a level floor so it does not vibrate during spinning. Remove the transit bolts at the back before the first wash, as shown in the user manual.

What warranty do I get and how do payment and delivery work?

You get a full 1-year warranty when buying from Albab Alaly. You pay cash on delivery once you have checked the appliance, and we deliver the washer to all Iraqi governorates.
