Description

MSI MPG 491CQP QD-OLED: QD-OLED at its best

The MSI MPG 491CQP QD-OLED is a 49-inch MPG gaming monitor with a DQHD (5120x1440) QD-OLED panel, a 144Hz refresh rate and a 0.03ms response time. Its ultra-wide 32:9 format is effectively two QHD screens side by side without a bezel in the middle, making it ideal for racing, flight and simulation titles as well as serious multitasking. Looking for the MSI MPG 491CQP price in Iraq with a real warranty and fast delivery? You are in the right place.

Design and ergonomics

The monitor comes in a sleek black finish with slim bezels on three sides and a 1800R curvature that wraps around your field of view. The included stand offers tilt -5° ~ 20°, swivel -30° ~ 30° and 0 ~ 100 mm height adjustment, so you can set the screen exactly at eye level and reduce neck strain during long sessions. It also supports 100x100 mm VESA mounting for a wall or monitor arm and includes a Kensington lock slot. Net weight with stand is about 10.3 kg, and cooling is fully passive thanks to the graphene film and custom heatsink, so there is no fan noise.

Panel and image quality

  • Resolution: 5120x1440 (DQHD), 32:9 aspect ratio.
  • Contrast: 1,500,000:1 with true blacks, because every pixel emits its own light.
  • Brightness: 250 nits SDR with DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification.
  • Colour: 1.07 billion colours (10-bit) with DCI-P3 99% / sRGB 146% / Adobe RGB 98% coverage.
  • Viewing angles: 178°/178° with an anti-reflection surface.

Gaming performance

With 144Hz and 0.03ms (GtG), motion blur and smearing disappear in fast scenes, and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro eliminates tearing and stutter. The HDMI 2.1 ports (48Gbps) support PS5 and Xbox Series X at 120Hz with HDR, plus VRR, ALLM and HDMI CEC so the controller can wake the screen. With PIP/PBP you can show two sources at once, for example gaming on one half and following a stream or chat on the other.

Connectivity

  • 2x HDMI 2.1 and 1x DisplayPort 1.4a.
  • USB Type-C with DisplayPort Alt Mode and 90W Power Delivery, so a laptop can connect and charge over a single cable.
  • 2x USB 2.0 Type-A and 1x USB Type-B upstream for the USB hub.
  • 3.5 mm headphone output.
  • Built-in KVM: control two devices (for example a desktop and a laptop) with one keyboard and mouse connected to the monitor.

Technologies explained

  • QD-OLED: a modern OLED panel with a quantum-dot colour layer, delivering purer and brighter colours than conventional OLED, perfect blacks and near-instant response.
  • OLED Care 2.0: MSI's burn-in protection suite with graphene film and a custom heatsink, boundary, taskbar and multi-logo detection that dim static elements, and a 24-hour panel refresh cycle with a 30-minute reminder. MSI officially covers panel burn-in under its warranty.
  • Gaming Intelligence: MSI's desktop app for adjusting monitor modes with the mouse.

Product FAQ

Does it support PS5 and Xbox Series X at 120Hz?

Yes. The HDMI 2.1 ports (48Gbps) support 120Hz on current consoles with HDR, VRR and ALLM. Since the native resolution is 5120x1440, the console image is shown at the closest supported resolution.

Is there a risk of OLED burn-in?

The monitor uses OLED Care 2.0, which dims static elements, runs a panel refresh every 24 hours and uses graphene film for cooling, greatly reducing burn-in risk in normal use.

Can I mount it on a wall or arm?

Yes, it supports 100x100 mm VESA mounting, so you can use a wall bracket or a monitor arm rated for its weight.

Can it charge a laptop over USB-C?

Yes, the USB Type-C port carries video via DisplayPort Alt Mode and supplies 90W Power Delivery, enough for most laptops.

What warranty do I get in Iraq?

You get a full 1-year warranty from Al-Bab Al-Aali, with cash on delivery and shipping to all Iraqi governorates.
