Description

The NZXT H9 Flow RGB+ is the most complete version of the H9 Flow series: a dual-chamber mid-tower case that comes ready with seven RGB fans and a Control Hub, so there is no need to buy extra fans or a controller. The motherboard and graphics card sit behind glass in the main chamber, while the power supply and cables are hidden in the rear chamber.

Design and build

The case measures 506 x 315 x 481mm with 76.7 litres of volume and weighs 13.29kg. It is built from SGCC steel with clear tempered glass on the white version and tinted tempered glass on the black version, wrapping the front and side. Angled front-right mounts push air straight at the graphics card.

Cooling and performance

  • Two F420 RGB Core fans (three 140mm fans each) spinning up to 2,000 RPM with 98.61 CFM of airflow.
  • A rear F120 RGB Core fan at 1,300 RPM and 26.1 dBA.
  • Room for up to nine 140mm fans across the top, front-right and bottom, plus one 120mm fan at the rear.
  • 420mm radiators on the top and front-right, 360mm on the bottom.

The Control Hub

The hub provides three NZXT 8-pin fan channels (PWM), one NZXT 8-pin channel (DC+PWM) and one 4-pin PWM channel, plus four NZXT 8-pin lighting channels and one NZXT RGB channel, with up to 96 LEDs per 8-pin channel. It needs an internal USB 2.0 header on the motherboard and an 8-pin PCIe power connector.

Compatibility and connectivity

It supports E-ATX up to 277mm, ATX, Micro-ATX and Mini-ITX, plus ATX back-connect boards. It fits graphics cards up to 459mm (410mm with a 56mm-thick 420mm radiator), CPU coolers up to 165mm and PSUs up to 200mm, with 7 expansion slots, six 2.5-inch and two 3.5-inch drive mounts. The I/O panel offers USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 Type-C, two USB 3.2 Type-A ports and a headset jack.

What is the difference between the H9 Flow RGB+ and H9 Flow RGB?

The RGB+ comes with two F420 RGB Core fans and a rear F120 RGB Core, seven fans in total, plus a Control Hub. The standard RGB version has one F420 and one F120Q fan and no Control Hub.

What does the Control Hub need to work?

The hub needs an internal USB 2.0 header on the motherboard and an 8-pin PCIe power connector from the PSU. Once connected, you control fans and lighting from one place.

What are the maximum GPU length and cooler height?
