Description

The Pioneer APS-SE20 240GB SSD is an M.2 2280 internal drive that uses the NVMe protocol over a PCIe Gen3 x4 link, delivering sequential reads of up to 2100MB/s and writes of up to 1200MB/s. If you are looking for the Pioneer APS-SE20 price in Iraq with a real warranty and fast delivery, this drive is a practical way to upgrade your PC or laptop.

Design and installation

The Pioneer APS-SE20 uses a slim single-sided 80 × 22 mm design, so it fits easily into the M.2 slot of a desktop motherboard or a thin laptop. Installation is simple: insert the drive into the slot and secure it with one screw, with no power or data cables.

Performance

The drive runs on a PCIe Gen3x4 link with NVMe 1.3 and reaches 2100MB/s reads and 1200MB/s writes, roughly four times the read speed of a typical SATA SSD. Compared with a traditional hard drive or a SATA SSD, you will notice faster Windows boot times, near-instant application launches, quicker game level loading and faster transfers of large files.

Reliability and endurance

The drive offers wear-levelling technology that spreads writes evenly across the cells, with TRIM support to keep performance consistent over time and thermal throttling that lowers speed automatically when the drive gets hot to protect your data. It also withstands shocks of up to 1500G and operates from 0°C to 70°C.

The technology in plain words

  • NVMe: a protocol built for flash storage that talks to the CPU directly over PCIe, giving several times the speed of SATA.
  • M.2 2280: the drive is 22 mm wide and 80 mm long, the most common size in modern PCs and laptops.
  • TBW: the total amount of data that can be written to the drive over its life; a higher number means more endurance.

Who is it for?

It suits anyone who wants the most affordable step up to NVMe as a Windows boot drive, an upgrade for an older laptop or desktop, or office PCs in businesses and schools. Just make sure your device has an M.2 slot that supports NVMe.

Product FAQ

Does the Pioneer APS-SE20 work with the PS5?

No, the PS5 only accepts PCIe 4.0 NVMe drives, while this drive is PCIe 3.0. It is, however, an excellent choice for desktops and laptops with an M.2 NVMe slot.

Is this drive suitable for laptops?

Yes, as long as the laptop has an M.2 2280 slot that supports NVMe. The slim single-sided design suits most modern laptops, but it is best to check your laptop manual before buying.

Can I install the APS-SE20 on a PCIe 4.0 motherboard?

Yes, the drive works in PCIe 4.0 and PCIe 5.0 slots thanks to backward compatibility, but it runs at its native Gen3 speed. That makes it a budget choice for newer systems too.

Is there a warranty on this SSD in Iraq?

Yes, the product comes with a full one-year warranty when bought from Al Bab Al Aaly. If a manufacturing defect appears, we handle the replacement or repair under the warranty terms.

What is the price in Iraq and can I pay on delivery?

The price shown on this page is the final price in Iraqi dinar. You can pay cash on delivery, and we deliver to all Iraqi governorates.
