Description
The Promate PowerTank-1200 portable power station, with 1008Wh capacity and 1200W output, is a practical answer for anyone who needs reliable electricity at home during grid outages, or on camping trips, road trips and field work. If you are comparing the price of a portable power station in Iraq that charges from both the wall and solar panels, this Promate unit deserves a close look.
Design
The PowerTank-1200 measures 23 × 24 × 35.5 cm, a compact, solid box that is easy to carry, put in a car boot or keep in the corner of a room. Inputs and outputs sit in one body, and an auto shut-off feature saves energy when nothing is drawing power.
Performance and capacity
- 1008Wh capacity to run small home appliances and camping gear and keep laptops and phones charged for many hours.
- 1200W continuous output with 2400W peak power to handle the start-up surge of devices that draw a lot of current when they switch on.
- Pure sine wave output, similar to mains power, so sensitive electronics run safely without buzzing or extra heat.
Charging and connectivity
- A full recharge from the wall in about 2.5 hours.
- Solar charging up to 400W through the XT60 input, ideal if you already have solar panels.
- A 100W USB-C PD port to charge laptops, tablets and phones directly without an adapter.
The technology in plain words
A LiFePO4 (lithium iron phosphate) battery is more thermally stable and survives many more charge cycles than conventional lithium batteries, which means a longer life and higher safety. Peak power is the maximum the unit can deliver for a few seconds when a device needs a strong kick to start.
Who is it for?
The Promate PowerTank-1200 power station suits families dealing with daily power cuts, small offices that want the router and computer to stay on, camping and off-road fans, and anyone who wants quiet backup power with no fuel and no fumes.

Product FAQ
What can the PowerTank-1200 power?
It runs devices rated up to 1200W, such as routers, laptops, TVs, fans and lighting. The 2400W peak helps with the start-up surge of some appliances.
How long does it take to fully charge?
It fully recharges from the wall in about 2.5 hours. It can also charge from solar panels at up to 400W, with timing depending on sunlight and panel output.
Does it support solar panels?
Yes. It has an XT60 input for solar charging at up to 400W, useful for camping and for homes that already rely on solar panels.
Why do LiFePO4 and pure sine wave matter?
LiFePO4 cells are safer and handle more charge cycles, so the unit lasts longer. Pure sine wave output mimics mains power and protects sensitive electronics.
Does the Promate PowerTank-1200 come with a warranty in Iraq?
Yes. Bought from Al Bab Al Aaly it carries a one-year warranty. You can also pay cash on delivery, with delivery to every Iraqi governorate.
