Description

The Samsung 990 PRO with Heatsink 4TB is the highest-capacity model in the 990 PRO PCIe 4.0 NVMe series. It comes with a built-in heatsink that keeps performance high during long sessions, making it an excellent choice for desktop PCs and the PlayStation 5.

Design

The drive uses the M.2 2280 form factor with a factory-fitted heatsink that lowers controller and memory temperatures and helps prevent slowdowns during large transfers. The heatsink also adds RGB lighting that you can control in Samsung Magician to match the look of your build.

Performance and key specs

  • Sequential read: up to 7,450 MB/s.
  • Sequential write: up to 6,900 MB/s.
  • Capacity: 4TB, enough for a huge game library and full video projects.
  • Endurance: 2,400 TBW.
  • Memory: Samsung V-NAND 3-bit MLC with an LPDDR4 DRAM cache.
  • Interface: PCIe Gen 4.0 x4 with NVMe 2.0.

Connectivity and compatibility

It works with motherboards that have an NVMe-capable M.2 slot and with the expansion slot of the PlayStation 5, where the built-in heatsink means you do not need to buy a separate one. Make sure there is enough clearance above the M.2 slot, since the heatsink adds height, and remove your motherboard's M.2 cover if it has one.

Technologies in plain words

NVMe is a protocol built specifically for flash memory. It talks directly to the PCIe lanes on your motherboard instead of the older SATA interface, so Windows, games and large files open many times faster than on a hard drive. V-NAND is Samsung's technology that stacks memory cells vertically for higher capacity and longer life, and TBW is the total amount of data the drive is rated to write over its lifetime.

Who should buy it?

PlayStation 5 owners who want lots of room for games, and gamers or creators who need 4TB with Gen 4 speed and stable cooling. The Samsung 990 PRO with Heatsink 4TB price in Iraq is available at Al-Bab Al-Aali.

Product FAQ

Does it work with the PlayStation 5?

Yes, Samsung designed the heatsink version to be compatible with the PS5 expansion slot. The drive installs directly with its built-in heatsink, so no extra heatsink is needed.

What does the heatsink do?

The heatsink draws heat away from the controller and memory and keeps speeds steady during large transfers or long sessions. It also carries RGB lighting you can control in Samsung Magician.

What is in the box?

The box contains the M.2 SSD with its heatsink already fitted, plus a warranty and user guide. No cables are needed for installation.

Is there a warranty in Iraq?

Yes, it comes from Al-Bab Al-Aali with a full 3-year warranty in Iraq, with cash on delivery and delivery to every governorate.

Does it fit every motherboard?

It works in any NVMe-capable M.2 2280 slot, but the heatsink adds height. Check that it does not clash with your graphics card or the motherboard's own M.2 cover before installing.
