Description

The WD_BLACK SN850X 1TB NVMe SSD is one of Western Digital's most popular gaming drives. It runs on a PCIe Gen4 x4 interface with the NVMe protocol for sequential reads of up to 7,300MB/s and writes of up to 6,300MB/s. The result is very short game load times and fast transfers of large files.

Design

This version has no heatsink. At just 2.38 mm thick and 7.5 g, it slips easily into laptops and under the built-in M.2 heatsinks found on most modern motherboards.

Performance

The SSD delivers random performance of up to 800K read IOPS and 1.1 million write IOPS, using 3D TLC NAND with a DRAM cache. Endurance is rated at 600TBW and MTTF at 1.75 million hours, which means high reliability for long daily use.

Compatibility

It fits any NVMe M.2 2280 slot and performs best in PCIe 4.0 slots on modern Intel and AMD motherboards. It also works in PCIe 3.0 slots at lower speeds.

Technologies in plain words

  • Game Mode 2.0: a WD_BLACK Dashboard feature that improves drive responsiveness while gaming.
  • Adaptive thermal management: smart temperature control that maintains performance and protects the drive.
  • DRAM cache: fast memory that stores the data map so the drive stays responsive.
  • TBW: the total amount of data you can write to the drive over its life.

Who is it for?

Ideal for PC gamers, owners of laptops with PCIe 4.0 slots, and content creators. If you are looking for the WD_BLACK SN850X 1TB price in Iraq, it is one of the best choices in the PCIe 4.0 class.

Product FAQ

Does this SSD work with PlayStation 5?

The drive meets the PlayStation 5 speed requirements, but Sony recommends a heatsink for drives installed in the console. If PS5 is your main use, we recommend the SN850X version with a heatsink.

Does the SN850X work on a PCIe 3.0 motherboard?

Yes, it is backward compatible with PCIe 3.0 slots, but speed will be limited to around 3,500MB/s. To get the full 7,300MB/s you need an M.2 slot with PCIe 4.0 support.

Can I move Windows from my old drive to the SN850X?

Yes. You can clone your old drive to the new SSD with common cloning software, or do a clean Windows install for the best result. After the move, set the SSD as the first boot drive in the BIOS.

Is there a warranty on this SSD in Iraq?

Yes, the product comes with a full one-year warranty when bought from Al Bab Al Aaly. If a manufacturing defect appears, we handle the replacement or repair under the warranty terms.

What is the price in Iraq and can I pay on delivery?

The price shown on this page is the final price in Iraqi dinar. You can pay cash on delivery, and we deliver to all Iraqi governorates.
