Description

The WD My Book 12TB desktop external hard drive from Western Digital connects over USB 3.0 and is designed to be the backup and archive hub of your home or office, protecting your files with a password and hardware encryption.

Design

The drive sits in a sleek, upright black enclosure measuring about 6.73 x 1.93 x 5.47 inches, standing steadily on your desk beside the computer. It runs from the included AC adapter, so it gets stable power and does not depend on the USB port for power.

Performance and capacity

The 12TB capacity is enough to archive large libraries of photos, videos and projects as well as full system backups. The drive connects through a USB 3.0 (Micro-B) interface with a SuperSpeed USB-A cable rated at 5Gbps for fast transfers of large files.

Protection and backup

It supports 256-bit AES hardware encryption with password protection through WD Security software, comes with backup software for Windows, and is compatible with Apple Time Machine and Acronis True Image WD Edition.

Technologies in plain words

Hardware encryption means your data is encrypted inside the drive itself, so nobody can read it without the password, even if the drive is moved to another computer. Automatic backup saves your files on a schedule without you having to remember.

Who is it for?

It suits small businesses, designers, photographers and families who want to keep their memories safe. The WD My Book 12TB price in Iraq at Al-Bab Al-Aali offers strong value for this large capacity.
