Description

The WD My Passport 6TB portable external hard drive from Western Digital connects over USB 3.2 Gen 1 and gives you plenty of room for photos, videos, documents and backups in a compact drive that goes wherever you go, with password protection and hardware encryption for your files.

Design

My Passport comes in a slim black enclosure about the size of your palm. It is light and slips easily into a laptop bag or even a pocket. No power adapter is needed: the drive draws power directly from the USB port of your computer or laptop, so a single cable handles both power and data.

Performance and capacity

The 6TB capacity is enough for huge libraries of photos, movies, games and projects, or a full backup of more than one computer. The drive uses a USB 3.2 Gen 1 interface with transfer rates up to 5Gbps, and it is backward compatible with USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports.

Protection and backup

It supports 256-bit AES hardware encryption with an optional password and comes with automatic backup software, plus compatibility with Acronis True Image for Western Digital, so your files are saved regularly without effort.

Compatibility

The drive is formatted for Windows out of the box and can be reformatted for Mac computers. Just plug it into a USB port, it appears as a new drive and you can start copying files right away.

Technologies in plain words

Hardware encryption means your data is encrypted inside the drive itself, so nobody can read it without the password, even if the drive is lost. Automatic backup keeps a copy of your files on a schedule you choose.

Who is it for?

It suits students, office workers, photographers, content creators and anyone who moves files between home and work. The WD My Passport 6TB price in Iraq at Al-Bab Al-Aali makes it a smart choice for this portable capacity.
