Description

The ZALMAN S5 is an affordable ATX Mid-Tower gaming case from Korean brand Zalman. It combines a tempered glass side panel, a front RGB light strip and two pre-installed fans with good room for modern graphics cards and 240mm liquid coolers.

Design

The case measures 398 × 212 × 465 mm (D × W × H) and weighs 5.8 kg, with a steel and plastic chassis and a tempered glass side panel. The black front panel carries an RGB light strip for a modern look, and the case offers 7 PCI expansion slots.

Cooling and key specs

  • Two pre-installed 120mm fans: one at the front and one RGB fan at the rear.
  • Fan support: 2 × 120 or 2 × 140mm top, 3 × 120mm front, 1 × 120mm rear and 2 × 120mm bottom.
  • Radiator support: 240mm mounted vertically at the side, or 240mm on top (with RAM under 35mm tall).
  • Clearance: graphics cards up to 340mm, CPU coolers up to 163mm and PSUs up to 190mm.

Connectivity and compatibility

The top I/O panel offers 1 × USB 3.0, 2 × USB 2.0, headphone and microphone jacks, an LED control button and power and reset buttons. Storage includes two combo 3.5"/2.5" bays and four 2.5" SSD mounts. The power supply is not included.

Technologies in plain words

Tempered glass is stronger and clearer than clear plastic and does not scratch easily, so the build keeps looking clean for years. The LED control button lets you change the lighting colours and effects directly from the case, with no software.

Who should buy it?

It is a good fit for a first gaming PC or a strong office build on a tight budget that still wants an attractive look and enough room for a modern graphics card. The ZALMAN S5 price in Iraq at Al-Bab Al-Aali keeps it budget-friendly.
