Design and components
The A3 gateway is a compact puck measuring Φ70 × 25.4 mm and weighing just 71 g, powered over Micro USB at 5V/1A. The T1C motion sensor is a small Φ43.5 mm dome on a magnetic base that can be aimed and flipped for wall or ceiling mounting. The T2C door sensor is a slim 53.5 × 22.5 × 13.5 mm body with a separate magnet, and the Φ40.6 mm T3C button sticks anywhere you need it.

Does the kit need internet to work?
Yes, the A3 gateway must be connected to your router over 2.4GHz Wi-Fi or Ethernet so alerts can reach the EZVIZ App. The sensors themselves connect to the gateway over Zigbee and do not use Wi-Fi.
How long do the sensor batteries last?
The T2C door sensor and T3C button last up to two years under typical daily use, while the T1C motion sensor lasts up to one year in high-performance mode or two years in energy-saving mode. The app warns you when a battery runs low.
Can I add more sensors later?
Yes, the A3 gateway supports up to 32 battery-powered devices, so you can add extra EZVIZ sensors such as the T10C water leak sensor or the T51C temperature and humidity sensor. Adding them takes a few minutes in the EZVIZ App.
Will pets set off the motion sensor?
The T1C comes with a pet shield that reduces false alarms caused by pets. EZVIZ recommends fitting the shield and mounting the sensor at least 50 cm above the height of the animal.
