The ASUS Prime 850W Gold 850W power supply is a practical choice for anyone who wants stable, clean power for a desktop PC. It carries 80 PLUS Gold certification and offers enough headroom for modern gaming rigs and all-round PCs. Its model number is AP-850G from the ASUS Prime series, it reaches up to 92% efficiency and is ready for GeForce RTX 50 cards. On this page you will find the full ASUS Prime 850W Gold specifications and its price in Iraq, with cash on delivery available.

Design and cables

It uses a fully modular design, so every cable is detachable and you install only the cables your build needs. This keeps the case tidy, improves airflow and makes future upgrades easier. A standout detail is the housing: two sides are painted white and two black, so you can mount it to show white in a white build or black in a dark one. It measures 150 x 150 x 86 mm and fits most cases.

Performance and efficiency

Thanks to its 80 PLUS Gold rating, the ASUS Prime 850W Gold runs efficiently: more of the power drawn from the wall reaches your components instead of turning into heat. That means a cooler case, quieter operation and lower electricity use over time. Low-ESR capacitors cut internal heat, and the dual ball bearing fan is rated for up to 80,000 hours, roughly twice the life of sleeve bearings, backed by full protection against over-voltage, over-current, overheating and short circuits.

It supports the ATX 3.1 standard with a native 12V-2x6 connector rated up to 600W, so modern graphics cards such as RTX 40 and RTX 50 series connect with a single direct cable and no adapters, while sudden power spikes are handled more gracefully.

Connectors

• ATX 24/20-pin x1
• CPU EPS 4+4-pin x2
• PCIe 12V-2x6 (16-pin) x1
• PCIe 8-pin (6+2) x3
• SATA x5
• Peripheral (Molex) x3

Technologies explained

• 80 PLUS Gold: a certification meaning the PSU turns most of the wall power into useful power for your PC, wasting less as heat, which also means lower noise and electricity use.
• Fully modular vs non-modular: whether cables detach or are fixed; detachable cables mean easier routing and a cleaner look.
• Electrical protections: circuits that cut power automatically on over-voltage, over-current, overheating or short circuits, which matters a lot with unstable grid and generator power in Iraq.
• ATX 3.1 and 12V-2x6: a modern Intel standard that tolerates short power excursions from graphics cards, with one 16-pin connector replacing several 8-pin cables.
